Knowing OS as well as I do, I would say the original idea for an Old Salt Memorial (Memorable??) Throne was right on target.  We always carry a portable OSMT with us on our trips which has spawned many smiles (and many wisecracks) by those trippers who end up on portage trails with us.  It seems only fitting that a more permanent OSMT be constructed in such a remote location where OS can one day aspire to travel and get the solitude his long periods of musing truly deserve.  Just remember:  if you detect the odor of onion you are getting too close!!
