I thought about Wow for this year for similar reasons.  Just from doing that, I know some of what you're feeling.  :'( All the investment or time in route discussions, pouring over maps, etc.  It's hard to think about going somewhere I don't have most of the routes committed to memory!

The previous WoW thread didn't generate a lot of discussion, but some - you might want to look there.  It's certainly a lot like Quetico, but some cabins, some boats, some power lines.  (I haven't been there, but have first hand reports from friends who have.)

If you do end up going there, take good notes & give us a trip report!  The more I (and we) know, the more likely we are to go there!
