What do you do with bacon grease you generate in the woods?

Burn it. If you have to you can let it cool some, pour into a zip-lock, let it harden and then burn it at the next opportunity or use it to fry fish first.

Works for cooking french toast too.  Then burn the rest...

Pre-fry your bacon to 80% done before your trip and you won't have much of a problem to deal with.

My mother a Kentuckian would used the rendered fat for cooking. I remember the tin that used to stay on the counter where she would store the fat for this purpose. The renderings make a flavorful addition to corn bread and are great for cooking eggs and hash browns in.
On Saturdays my wife makes me a H.O.A.R. (Heart Attack on a Roll) cooking the eggs in the renderings of the bacon. The trick to keeping the eggs and hash browns from sticking is to let the suspended bacon particles sink to the bottom of a holding vessel and dip the grease from the top.
Another use for the fat is to soak a paper towel with it makes a good fire starter.
BTW I have low cholesterol not what I would recommend for someone that has a high count.

pre-cooked bacon tastes just as good and there is no grease.  Just wrap it in foil, or put in a pan, or even right on the grate and warm over the fire.

Pre - Cooked Bacon is good, and I have used it on canoe trips and will continue to use it (due to convenience), but I don't think I could say it is just as good :)!  I like thick cut bacon.

Use your bacon grease to fry up a walleye fillet or two to have along with your bacon.  Then dump the grease in the fire making sure you don't linger above the fire.

We haven't used grease before, but this summer I went on a backpacking trip in WY and we fried trout with bacon bits.  It was by far the best tasting way we prepared the trout!

I precook the bacon I take. Eliminates weight, speeds up meal prep. I like thick bacon too just cook it till it's done rubbery and package. Keeps well, tastes like made at home. Still leaves a bit of fat to season your next meal.

If we have anyone in the group with a hammock, I'll take the bacon grease and smear it around the trunk of the tree just beneath the where the hammock is tied on.

we take the precooked and sealed microwavable bacon from the supermarket.  Stores at room temp, is sealed and last a good long time.  It is thiner so plan on more strips per person.

Save it for frying eggs, fish, or potatoes.  If you're done with it or just want to get rid of it burn it.  It really is a great fire starter!
