I'm sorry. I'm reluctant to complain since I don't contribute alot to this board. I'm a lurker. You know that little red headed kid in the corner nobody likes? Well now he's fat and bald.

Anyway my question......

Is the a way to read or go to the new posts on old threads. I would think that if the board is smart enough to know which threads have new post on them, it would be smart enough to know which ones are new to me. Some of the threads get alot of responses and I can  never remember which page I was on. Maybe the board already does this and I'm not clicking in the right spot. Any thoughts....?

Grego - Wasn't it you who told me you rarely read past the first page? ??? A similar name maybe...

Anyway my answer......

The board just looks at the threads you clicked in the last 30 days or since you marked topics as read. If there is a more recent reply since you last opened a thread it's labeled as being new to you. The board's got no clue what you actually read. It only remembers what you've clicked.

That said, I made a slight change to the style sheet so links and visited links in your browser's history file are now two different colors. It's not going to work exactly right since pages have different URLs depending on how you access them but it might help a little.

We'll try it for a few days. Let me know if it helps or hurts. All opinions encouraged. If  comments are split, I'll probably go back to the old colors unless I/we just get used to it or end up liking this way better.

I'm lost...what does marking topics as read do? I have never used that feature and am not sure what Grego is asking.

Never mind...I figured it out...it's the blue "star" on the folder.
