hey VN, i'll post it here incase anyone else is interested??
i'll vouch for there energy punch but taste?, that's a personal thing ;) ;).

combine in large bowl: 3 cups quick-cook oatmea;
                               2-1/2 cups dry milk
                               1 cup brown sugar
in  small pan, bring to boil:
                                1 tbls. honey
                                1 tbls. water
                         add: 1/2 pkg. (3 oz size) lemon gelatin
dissolve the gelatin in the hot honey water. combine the dry ongredients,mixing well.
add more warm water,a little at a time,till the mixture is moist enough to mold. pack into a greased foil-lined pan,and place in the oven turned to the lowest setting. if it is over 250 degree's leave the door open a few inches.
when dry,cut or break into 2" pieces. wrap in foil and store in freezer.
i've made "variations" adding raisins,dried cherries or cranberries, unsalted nuts, they were all pretty good IMO?
i think you could add just about anything as long as the moisture content didn't get to high??
hope you like them ;D ;D?
