Has anyone paddled this race before?

A friend and I mailed our entry info 6 or 7 weeks ago and have not heard anything back from them. Is this typical and we just show up the morning of the race? Or should I suspect it has gotten lost and contact the race officials?

Also if anyone has paddled it before any info would be helpful, this (obviously) is our first time and I cannot find much helpful info on the river.

I received our entry packet yesterday so I guess that answers that question. If anyone reads this and is there we'll be boat #38.
