Title: 2007 Quetico adventure
Post by fishinbuddy on Nov 17th, 2006 at 8:51pm
Jimbo's planning for next year has got my blood going.  I am looking to go on a trip to Quetico next year about two weeks after ice out.  I will be able to be somewhat flexible on dates but would like to target some excellent laker fishing.
Once again I would like to see if I can get a compatible partner for this trip.  I would go either solo canoes, or tandom.  I would prefer tandom because I think it is easier to fish when the water get's a bit rough if one person controls the boat and the other fishes.  I am willing to take turns at both.  Length can be from 4-9 days I prefer about 7.
I am not a minimalist when camping but have been reducing my gear but still double portage.  I have quality gear and am prepared for nasty weather.
Last's years trip with Magicpaddler was great and going with a person you have not really met was fun, I have a feeling that most of us on this board have many things in common.

If you are interested please IM me and we can see what happens.

p.s. I would take my wife but the kind of weather possible makes her say find another person to go please.  She said I would have to take her in late May though for some smallmouth fishing.   :)
