I don't see why it wouldn't work just as well over a REAL fire as well??
I'll give a field report after my May trip but I think it should be a winner??
I'll just use over hot coals, so it doesn't get to sooted up.
With the cool touch silicone top, I think you can just let it reach "temp" while you mix your ingredients and then quickly remove lid and insert baking pan like in conventional oven.
Anyway I was looking for good use for the extra flashing ;) ;)
