Denton Docs post made me think of this fine biography of Sig.

It provides an excellent history of the struggles Sig and others faced in protecting the BWCAW and Quetico from development. And it also does a great job detailing the struggles Sig faced as a frustrated writer.

This is a very well-done biography by a serious scholar. Good book and well worth a careful read.

Learned a considerable amount about the area and it's history in this book. Good read.
