A method I used, successfully, for many years, before lightening the load with powder, was to use two foam cartons per dozen eggs. On the outer carton cut the lid off, and rubberband the whole works with two rubberbands. Put that into a 2 gal zip bag. As others have said, keep it out of sun. Very minimal breakage, and if you should crack one, fry it, or use it in fish mix. ;)
