Title: Ireland
Post by Wenonah Rider on Mar 30th, 2007 at 10:56pm
Another great place to paddle is Ireland.  Sca-ish and Mr.Evinrude head out in the morning.  They will be flying though and not paddling the Atlantic to get there.  I never got to take trips like that when I was in choir in high school.  I am entrusting my 35mm camera to Sca-ish for the trip in hopes that he brings back some good pics.  I should have had Spartan 2 give him some pointers at copia.

Maybe, upon their return, the pics and story will go under trip reports......but then again maybe not as they won't be canoe related....unless Mr. E comes across a kayak while over there

I've seen an occasional canoe in Europe (they call them Indians) but I suspect that they wold be hard to find to rent.  I've occasionally toyed with the idea of doing a canoe trip along one of Europe's major rivers but the logistics of getting my tin can to Europe always sent me looking for other ways of travel.  I had friends who sailed from England to France and then took their sailboat with the mast stowed along the canals of France to Marseilles.  The trip looked like it would be so much fun and they spent most of their nights tied to a river bank enjoying their locally obtained bread, cheese and wine.  I would still love to do the trip,  any takers? Maybe we could get a shipping container for our canoes and have it waiting for us when we get there.
