Thanks for the report!  Chase Rapids is about the midpoint of the trip there that I did about thirty years ago.  We started not far from Mt. Katahdin & came out at the Canadian border.  Had to patch up my father-in-law's Alumacraft after he trashed it about midway down that 9 mile stretch.  Also had to retrieve some lost relatives from both the water & the woods.  It was quite the adventure.

Altogether, it was a very pretty run, as I recall.  Caught a lot of whitefish but not much of anything else.  Would be interesting to see how the area compares now to what I went through.  Thanks for posting pics.
