Title: fishing north shore rivers Post by upnorth on Jun 12th, 2008 at 8:20pm
Has anyone fished the rivers along the north shore(temperance, cascade, manitou, cross, caribou, babtism)?
Any advice on where to fish and what to fish for and what to fish with? |

Yes, several years ago though.
I used small plain hook with a nightcrawler and a splitshot or a small spinner like a Mepps 0 or Panther Martin. Dont use heavier than 6lb mono. Obviously fly fishing would work as well. Be sure to check regulations on each river as they are different above and below posted boundaries. Fish the pools and get out very early in the AM. You probably won't catch much after 9 am. There are some nice public campgrounds along the north shore you could stay at if you didnt want to rent a motel. Going during the week is preferable if you can so you wont be competing for the better spots. Steve |
