I like the idea of the two insoles, and the extra flexibility.
I wish more sport shoe mfrs would offer the regular or wide widths or the insole options like the OTB does.
I learned a lesson about insoles the 07 trip. I like Teva brand water shoes, and every couple years I buy a few of the discontinued one's when the new models come out and get a real good price, from Campmor or Sierra Trading Post.
This trip I bought size 11, which with the Brookie Knee Highs usually works out just right.
Well turns out that the shoe I bought was narrower than normal and on the first portage, I knew I had to take out the insoles.
That worked well  the first few hard days of portages, but after awhile my feet really started hurting?
I finally realized that without the insoles, I didn't have a enough ARCH support and with the heavy packs and rough trail, my arches began to break down :'(
I did a little engineering and cut out the arch supports of the insoles and used them by themselves.
It took the pain away and made all the difference.
I won't make THAT mistake again ;D
