I've enjoyed every book I've gotten written by Edward Abbey.

The Monkey Wrench Gang, is probably his best know. A fun read. Hayduke and his friends try to sabotage the industrialization of the west. Lots of action.

Hayduke Lives, is the sequel.

Down The River, is a collection of short stories about rafting the western rivers.

Desert Solitude, is a collection of short stories he wrote as a park ranger out west.
