WCP and surrounding area has the highest incidence of fire starts due to lightning that anywhere else in Ontario - or so I've read.

worth-wild : what is the fire management program for WCPP....do you have I.A. hand crews, helitack, airtankers..etc... :question. From what I've read so far in other posts, there are private landholdings within the park boundaries :question..do you have management ignitions or allow natural (lightning) fires to grow unchecked and kinda steer the fire to where you want it to go? Do you jump on and take supression tactics to manmade (campfires)...and do Canadian fire crews still get steak and liquid dinners? (you can ignore the last ?) :) [smiley=dankk2.gif] [smiley=thumbup.gif]..my daughter, and son are somewhat involved in fire management here in the states, ..lets keep em safe :)
