Title: Re: Another wood burning camp stove Post by marlin55388 on Apr 19th, 2009 at 7:23pm
Years ago I had exposure to what I know as a BUZZ Stove via campmore.....same principle------battery operatered forge style stove-the guide used it in the gates of the artic on a 65 day trip-when they return at the end of the summer season I inquiered about the stove and her experiences as I was very curious about her take....on the stove and the trip......she informed me that the stove worked but it was slow and she like gas better-when I asked if she would use one again-she replied yes in a small group/solo------asked the same of one of the groupys I was informed that the thing sucked!......there was no glow in her eye or the groupys for that matter about the stove. Mind you all this was 15 years ago-we were both buzzing about he Buzz-----sorted out a lot of weight issues and fuel issues as they are suppose to burn nearly anything that one can put a flame to.....never tried one and the buzz was the closest that i ever got....Yeah yeah I know not much help! There are others available too......I will be watching this thread as it has rekindled the interest. ;)Sorry I could not resist. Droppings anyone! anyone?
