I think that premise behind the forge style stove thing is that one gets a more complete burn, a faster release of the combustable's stored calories-because more O2 is supplied to the oxidation process via the fan.....The stove that I was speaking to was/is the Sierra Zip stove. It is the difference between making charcoal and white ash.....If I recall the Zip Stove had a much smaller combustion chamber and is smaller in overall appearance.....I wonder if that is the thing that the folks that manufacture/pedal this wood gas stove are speaking to ....the stove ability to more completely burn the gases because they remain confined for a long period of time in the combustion chamber? might be easier to load the fuel...Maybe.
