It was interesting, considering the economic times.
Looked at thier website for the first time in a long time, and see that they now have 4 US dealers, rather than just the one Red Rocks store - that alone ought to bolster thier sales. Local dealer here says he is ahead of last years numbers for boats sold, which was also surprising. He mentioned Wenonah going to a four day workweek due to lagging demand. |

For what it's worth, I believe Red Rock is still the only U.S. Distributor.

Well, you guys should call up Souris and tell them they have it wrong on thier website - when I clicked on dealers, US, there were four.

Walkabout Sports in Eagle River WI is correct, I go there over Christmas each year, when we go up to Monaqua WI. Very expensive shop ,appeals to the Chicago crowd. KC Paddler is a large MO shop, good prices on the www site. PLus of course RedRock, cant say I have been to San Juan Utah. So I can confirm 3 of the 4.

It appears my previous post needs clarification. Red Rocks is Souris River's US distributor, i.e. middleman to get canoes across border & on to dealers. They happen to be a dealer too.

I know there was a little stink in the woods when Red Rock got the exclusive. But that's business. Interesting stuff.

Has anyone ever paddle one? 4" rocker on a 16 ft solo? seems like alot. Maybe not if it tracks well. I sure would like to try a new boat.
