Title: Re: Wenonah Kevlar Repair

Geo,  I bought a VERY abused Mad River Explorer kevlar canoe from an outfitter about a dozen years ago.  It had a couple of tears in it all the way through the hull.  My son & I Duct Taped the holes and spent a week in the BW with it.  I did the repairs to it the following winter, cutting out some areas and patching with layers of kevlar and fiberglass cloth.  It turned out so good that we bought another trashed canoe and fixed it too.  We added a few pounds to the factory weight but they perform perfectly...sometimes two trips a year.

Yours looks to need little but a light sanding (to remove any shine) and a light coat of resin.

just my 2 cents

Terp
