The shortening route is what I use now never have to worry about spills , I'll store it in a plastic bag lined wide mouth 16oz. PP Nalgene bottle. In past years I used a 16 ounce narrow mouth Nalgene bottle that is normally used for carrying water or other beverages for transporting canola oil.
