? maybe, but I'm thinking not. In everything I have ever heard or read about Quetico (a lot of historical notes in Beymer's guide, and spending some time at the Dawson Cr visitor center, I never heard/saw any mention of Quebec Timber Company - why would they name a park after some company that apparantly never did any business in the area? but I guess it could be.

"Quetico Provincial Park was created in 1913, although road access wasn't built until 1954. The origin of the park's name is a mystery. Locals say the park is named after the "Quebec Timber Company", however no such company existed. The name may also be a version of the French words quête de la côte which means "search for the coast". It may also be from an Ojibwa name for a benevolent spirit who resides in places of great beauty."

Hmmm... that's pretty interesting. This reminds me of a little village about 40 minutes outside of Thunder Bay called Nolalu. I always wondered about the name, but thought that it could be Finnish (Thunder Bay area have many Finish settlers especially in the surrounding area). I learned not too long ago that the name is from the NOrthLAndLUmber company.
