The very 1st layer actually looks yellow, then red, then black.... the red & black are a paint I'm sure, but the base may be yellow, the deeper scratches it has do show up white. All the layers seem solid it does have some cracks at the bow & stern where the bigger chips happened, but I'm sure I can repair them with out any issues. Why people do the things they do, will always be a mystery to me. I don't expect it to be like new, but want it to look respectable. It will be a perfect solo for my kids to learn in. Hoz on the CCBB said to use a Topside Marine Enamel, now I will have to see what colors they have. I will leave the inside unpainted so the cedar strips still show through. |
