I had a north-side Quetico outfitter charge me $200 ($50 per person) to make and then pick up a permit for me at the park office in Atikokan recently.  The fee was never discussed, nor is it mentioned on the outifitters web-site.  When I picked up the permit myself, the outfitter refused to refund my money.   I recollect his comment as being '...this is how I make my money'.  That left a bit of a bad-taste in our collective mouths.   I am just wondering if anyone else had that type of experience? The people in the park office felt that was extreme.   --paw
