I was told at 'copia that the NRS Storm boot had ended production, but a new & improved (similar) model was coming out around year-end. The impression was that it may be under a different model name though, FWIW.

Great trip report! The tough portage conditions reminded me of my '06 Wabakimi trip in the Ogoki River burn area. If you travel through a burn area, you definitely take your chances on blowdowns.
