Have been thinking more and more about a fall trip, so thanks for pitching it. We often go in early July to take advantage of the "extra" vacation day provided by Independence Day. Funny that we're usually in Canada. Otherwise, we like to go early to mid August to escape the dog days of summer in Phoenix and now Baton Rouge. That being said, the next time we get a hurricane here in Sept or Oct, I may load up the truck and head due North.
