BH is an excellent fishing lake passed over by 99% of the people that just want to get into the park.  At the very least one should pull a Rapala or "deep diving something" once you can't see bottom out of the swamp.  On several occasions we have camped at the sandy beach site just before the rapids/portage but the bears became a little too friendly after a while.  The location ST speaks of is a baitfish black hole when the wind is from the west.
