Anyone heading to WCPP might need to be aware of this.  This report states (which I've found posted a number of places) that Red Lake is experiencing a 30-year high in water levels.  An MNR site also provides instructions for acquiring sand bags.

It is true (unfortunately) Red Lake is experiencing some major precip this year.
Water levels on Red Lake are controlled (ha ha) by a water control structure, so sandbagging instructions are important.
WCPP's levels are 2 - 4 feet higher than normal for this time of year. It makes for careful exiting and entering portages around normally passisve waterfalls.
We have been performing campsite inspections all summer and certainly have been seeing a new perspective that current park staff have never seen before.

Don't let that deter you, the long range forcast shows little rain (just like all summer).  If we could have shipped some of our extra precip to drought ridden central MN we would have.
