Title: Re: BW/Q, Algonquin, and Temagami Post by Jim J Solo on Sep 6th, 2009 at 12:43pm
I've got no 1st hand knowledge of camping in Temagami or Algonquin, but talked to trippers who've been there.
If it were me, from MN, and I was looking for new ground, I'd go to Woodland Caribou or Wabakimi. Steel River isn't a bad trip either, Terrace Bay area. PM me if you need a shuttle contact # for the Steel. Check water levels online. QJ has a link to Canadian river gauges. Ideal levels are what's usual for the end of June. Otherwise rent some plastic boats and you'll get through, just slower. Nice walleye fishing,,some specks if you go to the right lakes. |
