Man, I can remember that!  Growing up, we had a big Oak tree along side the house. One big branch grew close enough to the house that ME being a Ring Tailed tree climbing monkey, could crawl out and drop on the roof. Whenever Dad would be trying to get a program on the old B+W, he's send me up on the roof, too be the "ROTOR" !

I still have a roof antennae, but it has a power rotor, as the old ST is more a Silver-back Gorilla, than a Ring tailed monkey now ;)
Sadly I see some asinine legislator wants to charge a fee too anyone using a old school antennae :-?  I "thought" being a tax payer, we already paid for the public airways?  Another attempt to rob us blind >:(
