And I thought the North American bear center was Kodiak Island, AK...

Yeah, they sure know how to grow em.   ;D ;D

'D' was telling me how long the claws were and I mentioned, "and think, that's just a black bear".  She checks the web cams almost every day.

One of my more memorable days durng my Forest Service career was when I held a baby cub bear.  Rogers and others were weighing, monitoring, etc, a den, near Ely,  and I tagged along.  So I was able to hold one before they put it back in the den.  The camera doesn't (can't) depict the SMELL!  Wow... strong musky smell, and those little cubs had amazingly long and sharp claws.

That is a great website! I've had a chance to watch a bit and see some neat movement. Fascinating reading. Sure are a lot of misconceptions, which I sure bought into.
