I was going to make the booking today when something official came in the mail.

I'm on-call for Jury Duty for the week prior to my planned trip.  Anyone who has done Jury Duty knows that the on-call week can become months of sitting around watching someone who has been caught dead-to-rights, but has a good enough lawyer to drag it out.   :(
