My typical 1st day drive to reach Quetico is right at 14 hours ... near Dallas to Minneapolis.  There is still a significant drive the second day if I have a north-side entry.  And, yes I have driven it a number of times solo.

I just got back from a solo trip to WCPP where I did take 3 days in transit each way.  My longest day was from south of Omaha to Kenora, Ontario (going) and Kenora, Ontario to Council Bluffs, Iowa (coming) ... a 13+ hour stretch.  Ain't much fun, but you gotta get to/from where the fun is!

Oh, BTW:  I'm headed back up (to the Q this time) in September.
