Yeah the 15 footer is the canoe I have since I can't have the canoes I want.  It has been slightly modified to make solo easier, bow seat moved closer to midship.  

When I plan solo trips I try to have ~30% rest days.  If I'm not windbound I can explore & scout, while having a line in the water of course.  I've done some strenuous solos and it's just not fun if I'm too tired to make a hot dinner or stay awake to see what's on the Caveman TV (usually re-runs but I love that show).

Likely drier than most if the early ice-out and low winter precip aren't countered by a ton of rain in the next several weeks.
