people who have them seem to like the Pakboats a lot.  Friends did an expedition trip on some river in Alaska down to the North Slope in an Ally , and they had good things to say about it. They had two of them - they brought one to a presentation, and I was impressed with how tough the skin seemed to be.

I have no personal experience, but have thought I might someday pick up a 15' Pakboat for fly-in trips

not the best flatwater tripper, but in your case, I'd buy one - certainly no reason to not use one for rivers, and I'd bet they are fine for the ocean - give the Pakboat people a call - the owner is friendly and helpful.
