Not very many WW river trippers on this site - mostly flatwater paddlers.  You will find more info over on MyCCR or Paddling.Net - both have canoe review section.

Seems that people who have the boat like it, and I agree, it certainly looks like a great river tripper.I didn't see Royalite as an offering in the Swift Catalog ?  maybe that dealer has an older model boat.

I'd have some trouble myself, going with royalite - I've seen comments here and there on CCR and P-net)  about it not holding up so well.  So myself, I'd either stay with the RX at 74 lbs, of the Guide Fusion at 56 lbs  depending on how rocky those rivers are, and how much of a beating you might give the boat - course, that depends too on what kind of deal you can get on that royalite boat from the dealer.  There is consensus, more or less, that the royalex materail isn't as tough as it used to be, due to change in manufactureing specs - it seems to gouge and dent easier than the material of 10 years or so ago - I don't know that for a fact myself, but it isn't really disputed (you can find a sticky thread on that at C-boats.com) - that's another reason I'd shy away from royalite, which is a thinner RX layup to begin with.
