He rents the royalite version of this canoe, and if anyone has insight into how well they hold up, an outfitter would.

I strongly considered this canoe as well, but ended buying a Wenonah Rogue.  David Wells sells his rental Royalite Dumoines in the fall.  This used to be a good deal for Americans a number of years ago, but with the exchange rate as it is, it no longer makes much sense.
