Title: Willow Flowage
Post by The_Beaver on Jun 29th, 2010 at 5:55pm
Just returned from a camping trip to the Willow Flowage in Wisconsin. Over 27,000 acres to explore, with nearly 7,000 acres of water. We had a great site with a super nice beach. Rained everyday, including around 3 inches one night. Caught some nice walleyes and crappies. Lots of waterfowl and eagles. Deer and howling wolves, too.

Will definitely be back this fall with the duck boat and Mud Buddy. Tons of bays and backwaters; duck hunting should be sweet.

My reports are that the water levels are down some 6-8 feet in the Willow Flowage. Makes for some nice canoeing and plenty of beach at your campsite. Also tends to concentrate the fishing ;)

Water levels are down, but the Flowage remains easy enough to navigate if you know where you are going. Caught a bunch of fish where the Tomahawk River flows in...good current there.
