Snowdog,
We had viewed site #74 from the water. It is open in the respect that the tree cover is composed of small scraggly pines. The site is not elevated much off the waterline. It is centralized (obviously) and is in a pleasant surrounding. You will have no wind shelter. Site #5Z is up on a rock, 30 feet above the water and has a poor landing (water is deep and you have to step up on to sloping granite slab). It does have a rising pine forested terrain behind, a nice view to the north and east, and medium height pines throughout the camp. Site #5T might not exist (I have it crossed out on my map). Site #5P looked nice from the water, maybe the nicest of the 4 we surveyed. I agree with your accessment of the Darky river inlet site. -YB |
