This year the road surface was quite a bit better than last year.  Seems like they had just graded it not long before my trip.  Despite that, there were still a few washboard spots left and a few spots where water was running over the road (mostly due to beaver activity).  Just a few rock outcrops to deal with and no ruts.

Apparently the road surface was good enough for folks to pull their motor boat/trailer to Red Lake from somewhere over in the direction of Longlegged Lake.  I passed a couple of those on my way in.  But it was still a pretty long drive into Leano and out from Onnie.
