Actually it was taken in the fall.

Sept. 18, to be exact.

This year.

It was on the east side of Agnes Lake in Quetico, just south of Louisa Falls. There's a little point right before you reach the falls. It was standing right on the edge of the lake.

I've seen a lot of moose over the years; usually they want no part of humans, in canoes or out.

This one just stood there like a statue. Maybe I'm reading too much into its eyes, but again, it looked just dazed. Never moved.
