There is a pic of Snowdog and his fish of a lifetime in today's Mpls Star-Tribune on back page of sports section. Yours truly photographed this grisly duo after Snowdog was convinced to try a swimbait while old salt was filling the canoe with nice waldos using the same bait. ;) Perhaps there is an internet link that can be posted...

Shoot, I tried to find the article but I got zero results when I put "Snowdog" into the search engine.  ;)

No internet link.  The pic is only available to local Luddites like me who still insist on killing trees because reading the news on a computer just isn't the same.

If only the sun had been shining that day I might have gotten top billing and then the pic would have been deemed internet-worthy by the Strib.  Alas, clouds obscured my chance at greater immortality.  ::)

So, having just got back to town recently, and not getting the paper,
there must be a story behind that WHOPPER of a fish. ( And that must be a fish tale ).  It sure looks like a beauty in the picture.  Please, please tell us the story. When, where, how, how long was the battle.
( With a fish that size, you even have permission to embellish the story a little bit. )
I look forward to hearing about it.
