Title: Browntrout01 sighting
Post by old_salt on Sep 20th, 2010 at 1:24pm
Last night, BT & Mrs stopped by our humble abode to return my canoe and filled me in on their great trip. Seems they may have met Preacher when he was windbound, and they caught a giant northern. I'm looking forward to seeing some great footage posted here. Also, looking for SD's video from our trip. ;)

Thanks again for letting us borrow the canoe old salt. Was a fun trip with a little bit of wind, just glad we missed the wind that occured a few days prior to our arrival. As it was, we were pinned down on Sturgeon one day. Large whitecaps in the afternoon.

We may have briefly met preacher near mosquito point on day one of our trip. If it was... sorry to hear about getting stuck on shore. Other paddlers we talked with mentioned a strong wind also.

BT

Cool!  I paddle a 15' red Wenonah prospector that's all scratched up and UV faded on the underside.  My tarp that would have been visible from the water is red/russet in colour.

Was that you camped on the S facing shore around the corner from the campsite that got blown down on?

Yeah, that would have been us. Sorry to camp so close to you on Sunday, was nice meeting you though. Hope the rest of the trip went well. We were feeling a little beat up at times trying to get around in a tandem!
