So far it appears the only way to clear the map is to engage a new "list", which I have done. There may not be an option to hide an item on the map without removing or deleting it from the list. I can work around it. With the Mac it is click and drag to add info to a list or you can copy and paste. Still monkeying around.

I would very much be interested in smaller icons as these seem a bit bulky to me. I have noticed several empty boxes in the basecamp icon selection and am wondering if these are for custom icons. Quite likely.
