I have always like June or July for 2 reasons. The fish are usually spread out, shallow and "on" and the days are so long. I'm usually pretty methodical and I like the option of running till 9 P.M. if need be.

I will be interested to hear what you will have to say between conditions June vs. August. Water levels, bugs and fishing will likely be different. I have seen some utube videos on WCP and noticed some of the high water levels. Watch yourself if that is the case in the spring.

Are you bringing the pup? That is one fine animal.
