Thanks for the details MP, makes for a more interesting read (at least for me).

I paddled the Des Plaines a couple of times this summer and rather liked it. For an urban river it has a surprisingly "wild" feel to it and a good amount of wildlife. I miss the fall colors and the brisk temps.
