Otter fur is of the highest caliber. It was somewhat frowned upon historically because the pelts are so heavy.

I know that mink leave a bloodbath in their wake, basically killing everything and anything that gets in their way. This provides a lot of food for other animals especially during the winter as the mink can only eat so much. I have read where mink can leave 3 or 4 fish on the ice and move on. I'm not so sure about otters though if they have the same disposition. I would think not or at least I have never heard as much. Otters are a fine and smart animal indeed though.
