Speaking of large spiders near water...I was fishing the shores of the Crow River in Rockford MN when in the rocks I saw the largest spider I've ever seen in the outdoors. This thing had a body the size of a half dollar. I just stood there staring while another spider fell on my neck from a branch above me. I am not scared of spiders but I was for a day or two afterwards.
