I have tried to not get the wetfire to ignite but failed.
Extreme and sometimes prolonged conditions is usually what gets folk into trouble. Even experienced knowledgable people go down. I always think worse case scenario. Instead of one cube for two or three fires I think 2 or 3 cubes for one fire. I'm totally with you as far as the "real world" situations. Not many of us have had to start a fire after a 3 day soaker while shivering in driving rain and swirling wind. Anyway, that's my opinion FWIW. Sure there are other ways to start a fire but why omit and skimp on the superior when the drawbacks are so miniscule. The stuff is compact and extremely lightweight........ I bet by tomorrow, after you've had time to sleep on it, you'll be stuffing a few more in ;). |
