I've got a couple of the 1" Bison belts - I use one canoeing since its nylon and does not get hurt by water - may have to check the 1 1/2"er out ----  seems like there is only one critical factor to decide - have you been able to open a beer bottle with that buckle yet????

now I like the belts I have cause they are light and functional, and I can burn them as "fire excellerant" ala DD, but I don't hang anything but a belt knife off them, and that's only when hunting - but then again, you can always boil up your leather belt for soup if you get lost in the wilderness -  now I've got to decide between excellerant and soup stock!

I find those you tube videos of gear amusing - a 5 minute video about a simple belt! - I think people just like to fondle thier toys in front of a camera.
